The "one Man's '#Terrorist' is another's '#FreedomFighter' dichotomy" dilemma as defined by the Title of this Article/Blog has been one long predating our modern #Terrorism definitions age.
By way of example, and I will NOT being going in-depth and giving any/my detailed position(s) on the situation outlined, but rather present as FOOD FOR THOUGHT and leave it to each Readers' own devices to further #Research and reach your own conclusions.
In an International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) #PressRelease dated June 14 2022 titled "Turkey: 21 #Kurd journalists arrested accused of ' #terrorist ' activities" (https://www.ifj.org/media-centre/news/detail/category/press-releases/article/turkey-21-kurdish-journalists-arrested-accused-of-terrorist-activities.html) states...
"Police raided on 8 June the homes of several Kurdish journalists working for the pro-Kurdish Mezopotamya News Agency, the all-female Jin News website, a production company called Pel, and the Dicle Firat Journalists' Association."

I am NOT PASSING JUDGEMENT nor attesting to my opinion of the GUILT or INNOCENCE of those having been Arrested nor those ordering the Arrests here. Further, let us be clear, NOT ALL those labeled as #TERRORISTS are indeed such, some that Political States (such as #Turkey, and/or any other State acting on its own self-interest and perpetuation of POWER/CONTROL) label such for Domestic #propaganda purposes. Again, NO SUCH CONTENTIONS/JUDGEMENTS should be inferred as my position being presented just to Report the Reporting and presenting the COMPLICATED concepts/issues involved there-in. What OPINION that I (Joseph M Lenard) is willing to State is that many in the #Kurdish Communities (like #Iraq) are #USA ALLIES. #Erdogan is a dictatorial leader of who is supposed to also be a (#NATO in this case (see related: https://beforeitsnews.com/military/2018/07/trump-as-with-previous-presidents-demand-nato-pay-their-shares-as-promised-is-it-different-this-time-2481785.html)) Ally. As implied, things are NOT always black-and-white or so-simple to determine. And, too, a good time to point out the "Is the Enemy of my Enemy my Friend" dichotomy (see related: https://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2021/12/is-the-enemy-of-my-enemy-my-friend-no-but-can-be-useful-and-how-it-relates-to-matrix-resurrections-3764023.html). Which leads us to #OperationIraqiFreedom... Also, it is important to point out that BIAS in all Media exists, some supposed " #Journalists " and the "Media outlet" they proclaim to be honest arbiter of information do not have any real #integrity but instead are indeed just front-group #propagandists - as discussed in "Terror Strikes - Coming soon to a City near you!" chapter titled " #AlAdieaya " that deals with this/that sub-topic and how it all relates to not just #Terrorism but #Politics of all typles in all places. Many, including me, thought as part of Liberation of the Peoples of #Iraq that we should have split it into 3 smaller Nations for #Shia, #Shiite, and a #Kurdistan (that the Kurdish people have been fighting for to achieve for Decades). HOWEVER, those long-term potential benefits and FREEDOM for the various sects oppressed under Saddam Hussein (and as discussed, briefly, as a sub-theme about the Creation of Nations following WWI and WWII and the continued Regional conflicts caused there-by and new Hitlerian threats of declared World (or at least Regional) domination (like Terrorists (and #Iran) desires for oppressive, colonial/imperialist Calaphate) were over-ridden by desire to placate/appease Turkish Leader Erdogan (who while claiming Kurds are Terrorists threats and enemies of Turkey, fund and back other groups the #USA has declared Terrorist organizations and/or their Funders. Thus, again, the point, the great dichotomy. And then, of course, we must Historically mention the complications caused by the Fact that the USA aided/abetted #UsamaBinLaden and #AlQaeda as "Freedom Fighters" when it came to defending #Afghanistan versus the #Russia / #Soviet invasion in the 1980's. That lesson is one that can never be fully learned, that it is not a situation that can/will be fully controllable. Post Soviet withdrawal failings by the #UnitedStates in #ForeignPolicy and abandoning our Allies there there-after the withdrawal led to them becoming the MONSTER (no-one thinks will eat them) turning upon us (their former Allies) for their own desires of Control/Power/Imperialism. Again, touched upon in "Terror Strikes - Coming soon to a City near you!" which is #HISTORICALFICTION (which I dub as #FACTion) plus much more delving into many related (connect the dots) sub-themes. In conclusion... I am purposefully avoiding providing my opinion(s) above and beyond what I've interjected above... Joseph is very politically active in south-east Michigan. He is a MIGOP Delegate, a member of current MICD12GOP and is the webmaster for the MI 12CDRC as well as the Taylor Republican Club, as also a member of the Wayne-12CDRC and is the editor for its newsletter.
Joseph’s body of works contain copyrighted and published poetry. Joseph has written and recorded music, in the tradition of the Lenard family legacy; though not entirely in the tradition of his father Thaddeus, who was creator/leader of “The Polka Kings” that often toured throughout northeast United States.
